Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) & Instrument Rating (IR)
Based on individual student’s requirement, this 155-hour course can be conducted as Single-Engine or Multi-Engine Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) qualification. Training aircraft is Cessna 172 or Duchess, as appropriate to the phase of flight training. The Instrument Rating (IR) course can also be conducted in a single-engine Cessna 172 or a multi-engine Duchess. This will lead to award of the relevant category of Instrument Rating qualification.
The time it takes to obtain a licence mainly depends on whether you are doing full-time training, aircraft availability and weather. SAC will closely monitor the performance of the student pilot - and the flight training provider – to ensure that his/her flight training programme concludes successfully.
This course usually takes about 56 weeks (conservative estimates). A total of 12 weeks is dedicated to CPL Theory.
A pass in Private Pilot Licence (PPL), Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) and Instrument Rating (IREX) theory examination is required in order to qualify for the respective Flight Test.
This flight training programme is conducted in accordance to prevailing requirements by Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) of Australia.
