Private Pilot Licence (PPL) - Option 1

This course covers a minimum of 70 hours of flight time, comprising 20 hours as Pilot-In-Command and 4 hours of Instrument Flight. Flight test takes approximately 4 hours. Training aircrafts include Cessna 152 and Cessna 172. All training flights prior to General Flying Progress Test (GFPT) are conducted in Cessna 152. Following GFPT, all cross-country training flights are conducted in Cessna 172.

The time it takes to obtain a licence mainly depends on whether you are doing full-time training, aircraft availability and weather. SAC will closely monitor the performance of the student pilot - and the flight training provider – to ensure that his/her flight training programme concludes successfully.

This course usually takes about 12 to 14 weeks (conservative estimates).

A pass in Private Pilot Licence (PPL) theory examination is required in order to qualify for a Flight Test.

This flight training programme is conducted in accordance to prevailing requirements by Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) of Australia.

SAC Private Pilot Licence (PPL) - Option 1 course includes the following:

Pilot Items.
Transfer to Flight School (on arrival in Australia).
All relevant tuition and mock theory examinations, including Examination Preparation.
Pre-flight and Post-flight Briefings.
Medical Examination (CASA Class 2 standard).
Flight Test and Examination Fees (for single attempt).
Landing Fees.
SAC’s exclusive Care Assurance Program for overseas student pilots.
